Join the clinical team at CommuniCare Rehab as a Part Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving residents at Lindside Healthcare Center in Lindside, WV. This in-house therapy position offers direct patient care and the opportunity to meaningfully improve communication and swallowing outcomes for the people you treat.
About the Role
CommuniCare Rehab is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to deliver evidence-based therapy services on a part-time basis. You'll work as an in-house team member, collaborating closely with the healthcare facility's clinical staff to support resident recovery and quality of life through targeted speech and language interventions.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and resident goals
- Deliver skilled therapy services addressing communication disorders, cognitive-language needs, and dysphagia
- Maintain detailed clinical documentation and progress records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Communicate regularly with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Participate in care planning meetings and discharge planning processes
What We're Looking For
- Current, valid Speech-Language Pathology license in West Virginia or ability to obtain licensure
- Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from a CAPCSD-accredited program
- Clinical experience working with adult patients in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting
- Strong clinical reasoning and adaptability to diverse patient populations
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to collaborative, person-centered care
