On Call/Part Time – Owner Operators Needed

BEAR LOGISTICS is hiring independent Owner Operators in Newberg, Yamhill County to haul lumber freight across the Pacific Northwest on a flexible, on-call basis.

About the Role

As a growing lumber freight broker, BEAR LOGISTICS partners with owner operators who hold their own DOT and MC authority to move loads throughout the Pacific region. This On Call / Part Time Owner Operator position is built for drivers who want flexibility rather than a fixed full-time or part-time schedule — you run loads as they become available and put miles under your wheels on your terms.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick up and transport lumber freight loads originating in Washington, Oregon, and occasionally California.
• Operate your own truck under your active DOT and MC numbers.
• Coordinate with BEAR LOGISTICS dispatch to accept available loads across the Pacific Northwest.
• Deliver freight safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with applicable transportation regulations.

Qualifications

• Active Owner Operator with a registered DOT number and MC number.
• Ability and authority to run routes throughout the Pacific region, primarily WA and OR with occasional CA hauls.
• Experienced, seasoned drivers are preferred, though motivated newer drivers looking to build mileage are encouraged to apply.
• Reliable equipment suitable for hauling lumber freight.
