BEAR LOGISTICS is hiring on-call and part-time owner operators in Bay City, Tillamook County to haul lumber freight across the Pacific Northwest. If you hold a DOT number and MC number, we have consistent load opportunities for independent operators ready to build their business.

About the Role

This is an on-call, part-time opportunity for owner operators who want flexibility in their freight operations. You'll work independently with complete control over your schedule, choosing from available loads that align with your business goals. This position is perfect for operators managing their own rigs and seeking regular partnership opportunities without the commitment of a traditional employment arrangement.

What You'll Do

• Haul lumber and specialty freight loads on an on-call basis across Washington, Oregon, and California
• Manage your part-time schedule independently and decide which loads work for your operation
• Operate as an independent contractor with full authority over your freight business
• Maintain DOT compliance and Motor Carrier licensing requirements
• Coordinate directly with our brokerage team for load assignments and logistics support

What We're Looking For

• Valid DOT number and active MC number (required)
• Commercial driver's license appropriate for your freight operations
• Well-maintained equipment capable of hauling lumber freight in the region
• Strong safety record and professional driving history
• Reliable communication and demonstrated freight logistics experience
