Cortica - Neurodevelopmental is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary clinical team in Irvine, California. Help children with neurodevelopmental differences reach their potential through evidence-based occupational therapy delivered in a flexible, collaborative environment.

About This Position

This position offers 27–32 hours per week with flexible afternoon scheduling. You'll work within a growing, mission-driven healthcare organization dedicated to pioneering therapeutic approaches for pediatric neurodevelopmental conditions. As part of our clinical team, you'll deliver direct therapy services, collaborate across disciplines, and participate in program development that shapes how children engage with daily life and community participation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments using both standardized tools and clinical observation to identify therapeutic needs and establish individualized goals
  • Design and deliver evidence-based therapy interventions—individual, group, and co-treatment formats—targeting sensory processing, self-regulation, motor skills, and functional independence
  • Partner with speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, behavioral specialists, and other team members to integrate therapeutic strategies across the child's care
  • Build collaborative relationships with children and families to understand their unique values, priorities, and occupational goals
  • Create comprehensive home programming and caregiver education to extend therapeutic progress beyond clinical sessions
  • Develop treatment plans addressing sensorimotor, cognitive, social, recreational, and communicative dimensions of development
  • Maintain complete clinical documentation, electronic health records, and billing compliance in accordance with state and federal requirements
  • Contribute insights and innovations to program development and clinical protocols
  • Deliver a minimum of 26 hours of direct patient care weekly, with remaining time allocated to documentation, training, and team collaboration
  • Perform essential job functions that may occasionally require standing, walking, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 40 pounds; reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities

What We're Looking For

  • Master's degree in occupational therapy or closely related field
  • Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state of California
  • Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
  • Genuine interest in pediatric neurodevelopmental populations and child-centered care
  • Comfort working alongside speech, physical therapy, and behavioral health professionals
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for learning new therapeutic methodologies
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and standard office software
  • Familiarity with HIPAA privacy requirements and patient data protection
