Core Duties

• Complete detailed evaluations of fine motor, sensory processing, visual motor, and self-care abilities that influence learning and school-day routines
• Develop targeted intervention plans that address educational goals and foster greater independence during instruction and activities
• Partner closely with teachers, support staff, and caregivers to embed occupational therapy strategies into everyday educational experiences
• Recommend and introduce adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and activity adjustments that improve access and engagement
• Track responses to therapy, maintain accurate progress records, and refine approaches based on observed results
• Share practical techniques with education team members to reinforce skill carryover across different settings

Skills & Qualifications

• Active occupational therapy licensure authorizing practice in New York
• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program
• Demonstrated experience or strong readiness to serve in education services environments
• Clear communication and collaboration skills suited to multidisciplinary education teams
• Solid organizational habits for documentation, scheduling, and measuring therapy outcomes
• Working knowledge of common educational frameworks and evidence-informed pediatric or school-based practices
