Join GE Vernova's Nuclear Inspection team as a Lead Field Service Specialist – Automated NDE in Boston, Massachusetts. About the Role
As a Lead Field Service Specialist in our Automated Non-Destructive Examination program, you'll manage inspection campaigns that directly support operational safety and regulatory requirements. Working within GE Vernova's In Service Inspection (ISI) division, you'll be responsible for coordinating complex inspection activities, optimizing deployment strategies, and ensuring teams meet both safety and schedule objectives during plant outages.
What You'll Do
- Lead deployment of robotic and automated inspection systems for nuclear component examination
- Execute manual inspection techniques where required, ensuring thoroughness and compliance with nuclear regulatory standards
- Manage field teams and coordinate inspection schedules to minimize plant downtime and radiation exposure
- Apply dose reduction strategies to protect personnel while maintaining inspection quality
- Conduct equipment setup, calibration, and troubleshooting in fast-paced outage environments
- Document inspection findings and maintain detailed records for regulatory audits
- Collaborate with plant operators and engineering teams to meet customer timelines
- Ensure compliance with nuclear industry standards, including ASME Code requirements
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated field service leadership experience in nuclear, manufacturing, or industrial inspection
- Technical knowledge of non-destructive examination methods (ultrasonic, eddy current, visual, or radiography)
- Experience with robotic systems, automated tooling, or inspection equipment operation
- Understanding of nuclear power plant systems and refueling outage operations
- Ability to work safely in nuclear plant environments and support radiation protection protocols
- Strong communication and team coordination skills
- Willingness to travel as needed for outage assignments
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications (IRRSP, PAUT, etc.) a plus
