Network Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Network Management
  – Design, configure, and manage the company’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless networks. Familiar with Cisco system.
  – Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations.
  – Implement network upgrades, patches, and enhancements to maintain optimal performance and security.

Security Management
  – Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols.
  – Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats, including malware, intrusion attempts, and vulnerabilities.
  – Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate risks.

Firewall and VPN Management
  – Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and other network security devices to protect the company’s network perimeter.
  – Ensure secure remote access for employees and authorized users.

Data Protection
  – Implement and manage data encryption, backup, and recovery solutions.
  – Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.

Infrastructure Maintenance
  – Maintain and support network hardware, such as routers, switches, and access points.
  – Manage network infrastructure documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

User Support
  – Provide technical support and training to employees regarding network, deskside and security issues.
  – Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts, permissions, and access controls.

Collaboration and Communication
  – Work closely with other IT team members and departments to support overall IT initiatives.
  – Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure awareness and understanding of network and security matters.

Required Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

– Fluency in Mandarin.
– Professional certifications such as CCNA, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in network and security administration.
– Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall management.
– Experience with security technologies, including intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus software, and data encryption.
– Proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $80k –$120k, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by factors such as the role, level, and geographic location.
