Solaris is hiring a Senior Compliance Specialist to join its compliance function in Berlin or Frankfurt — a full-time, on-site opportunity at one of Europe's most established embedded finance platforms.

About the Role

As a Senior Compliance Specialist at Solaris, you will reinforce the Compliance Officer function in line with MaRisk, helping to safeguard the institution against regulatory risk. Your work will center on tracking legal developments, embedding effective controls, and ensuring the business consistently meets its statutory and supervisory obligations across all activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into practical, controllable compliance procedures.
  • Advise management, business units, and supporting functions on adhering to legal requirements and internal standards.
  • Help teams design and shape measures that reduce compliance risk.
  • Assess new or amended organizational instructions for compliance relevance.
  • Contribute a compliance perspective within the New Product Process.
  • Carry out control and oversight activities relating to MaRisk Compliance across other functions.
  • Assist with conflicts-of-interest management.
  • Support the annual (group) MaRisk Compliance risk assessment and reporting cycles, along with related MaRisk Compliance duties.

Qualifications

  • A higher education degree, ideally in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or Law.
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in banking and finance, gained either in-house or in consultancy.
  • Working familiarity with risk management software.
  • Solid grounding in regulatory standards.
  • An analytical, detail-driven mindset, strong stakeholder management, comfort with agile working, and a high degree of integrity.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; fluent German is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities and scope adapt to your experience level — Solaris values genuine personal and professional growth over job titles. If you bring most of what's listed here, we encourage you to apply even if you don't tick every box.
