Merchandise Processor – Part Time

Goodwill Keystone Area is hiring a Merchandise Processor to join our Donated Goods Retail team in Elizabethtown, Lancaster County. This is a part-time opportunity to help transform donated goods into quality retail merchandise while supporting our mission.

Position Summary

As a Merchandise Processor with Goodwill Keystone Area, you'll play a vital role in preparing donated items for retail sale. Working within our Donated Goods Retail department under the Production Manager's direction, you'll handle the receiving, sorting, and processing of merchandise that reaches our Elizabethtown location. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling while contributing to a purpose-driven operation that serves Lancaster County.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and sort incoming donated merchandise by category and condition
• Inspect items for defects and determine appropriate placement or processing
• Prepare merchandise for retail display, including cleaning and tagging when needed
• Maintain accurate records of processed items and inventory movement
• Support the retail floor and merchandising team with efficient workflow coordination
• Follow quality standards and safety protocols throughout the processing workflow

Qualifications

• Ability to work part-time hours with reliable, consistent attendance
• Capability to lift and move items regularly throughout your shift
• Attention to detail and quality in assessing merchandise condition
• Organizational skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn Goodwill procedures and contribute to a collaborative environment
• Previous retail, warehouse, or donation-processing experience is a plus but not required
