About the Role
As a Material Handling Methods Specialist at our Warren, Macomb County facility, you'll be at the center of our operational transformation initiatives. Working within the framework of lean manufacturing principles and Stellantis Industrial Systems, you'll partner with production departments to analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions that reduce waste and accelerate throughput. Your work will strengthen the backbone of our supply chain and logistics network while supporting production teams to meet their daily targets.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and customer service teams to map material flows and identify inefficiencies
- Apply lean methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks to optimize handling processes
- Analyze workflows and recommend changes that improve safety, quality, and productivity
- Support the implementation and monitoring of process improvements
- Document current-state operations and track metrics to measure improvement impact
- Participate in cross-functional problem-solving sessions and kaizen activities
What We're Looking For
- Experience in manufacturing operations, material handling, logistics, or industrial process improvement
- Familiarity with lean principles, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams across different departments and functions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and process documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or certifications in industrial engineering or operations preferred
