Role Overview

Victoria University of Wellington is seeking a Manager, Student Recruitment Events to join our dynamic team. This role involves overseeing the planning and execution of large-scale events aimed at attracting prospective students. The successful candidate will manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality experiences for all participants.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and implement event strategies that align with university recruitment goals.
• Oversight of the end-to-end delivery of complex events, including logistics, marketing, and stakeholder coordination.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of services during events.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively to deliver cost-efficient and impactful events.
• Evaluate event outcomes and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in event management, with a proven track record of successful large-scale event delivery.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• A commitment to delivering inclusive, high-quality experiences for prospective students.
• Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively.
