About the Role

As a Master Project Scheduler at Maximus, you will own the planning, sequencing, and maintenance of integrated project schedules that support national security, defense, and public service initiatives. Based on-site in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, this position is central to ensuring that complex government programs are delivered on time and with the operational rigor our federal customers depend on.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and refine master schedules across one or more federal programs, ensuring activities, milestones, and dependencies are accurately captured.
• Track progress against established baselines, flag schedule risks early, and recommend corrective actions to keep work moving forward.
• Coordinate with project managers, technical leads, and stakeholders to gather inputs and align timelines with program objectives.
• Produce clear status reporting, forecasts, and analysis that inform decision-making at every level.
• Support continuous improvement of scheduling practices and contribute to mission success on essential government systems and services.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing and managing detailed project schedules, ideally within federal or government program environments.
• Strong command of project scheduling tools and methodologies, with a sharp eye for dependencies, critical path, and milestone tracking.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex timelines into actionable insight.
• Comfortable collaborating across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
• Eligibility to support mission-critical federal work and to be on-site in Fort Smith, Sebastian County.
