What You'll Do

• Design, maintain, and advance the data governance framework, including policies, standards, and operating procedures
• Lead data stewardship efforts, defining roles, accountabilities, and escalation paths for data domains
• Drive data quality initiatives by establishing metrics, monitoring critical data elements, and managing remediation plans
• Oversee metadata management, data catalog usage, and lineage documentation to improve discoverability and trust
• Partner with legal, security, and compliance teams to align data handling with privacy and regulatory expectations
• Facilitate cross-functional governance forums, communicate progress, and resolve data-related conflicts
• Guide training and change-management activities so teams understand and adopt governance practices
• Evaluate processes and tools that support classification, access control, and lifecycle management of data assets

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in data governance, data management, or a closely related discipline, preferably in a managerial capacity
• Solid understanding of data quality methods, metadata practices, and stewardship operating models
• Familiarity with data privacy and compliance concepts relevant to enterprise environments
• Ability to translate business needs into practical governance standards and measurable outcomes
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and written and verbal communication skills
• Experience prioritizing work, leading initiatives, and mentoring contributors toward governance maturity
• Bachelor’s degree in information management, business, computer science, or equivalent practical experience preferred
• Comfort working onsite at a Multiple Bases location in Phoenix, Denver, or Grand Junction, AZ
