Prosper ISD is hiring a full-time Maintenance Operator-HVAC to manage heating and cooling systems across all district facilities in Prosper, Collin County. This essential role ensures safe, comfortable, and efficiently operating HVAC systems throughout our schools and district buildings.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for the ongoing operation, maintenance, and installation of heating and air conditioning equipment in Prosper ISD facilities. Working under general supervision, you'll monitor system performance, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot operational issues, and respond to maintenance requests to keep our climate control systems running smoothly and safely.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections on HVAC systems and components across district facilities
- Repair and replace heating and air conditioning equipment to maintain optimal performance
- Install new HVAC systems according to specifications and industry standards
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions and implement corrective solutions
- Document maintenance activities and maintain detailed service records
- Coordinate with school sites and district departments on maintenance requests
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with facilities teams
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and attention to detail
