What This Role Involves

The role of Maintenance Officer involves ensuring the safety and functionality of facilities within the Mawson Court aged care community. Responsibilities include routine maintenance checks, minor repairs, and working with a team to manage the upkeep of both internal and external areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and report any issues or needed repairs to the Area Maintenance Supervisor.
• Perform minor repairs such as plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry tasks.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of maintenance schedules and projects.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a Certificate III or IV in Building and Construction, or equivalent experience. Knowledge of building systems, tools, and safety protocols is essential. Experience working in an aged care environment would be advantageous but not mandatory.
