Part Time Security Officer

Ironrock Security is hiring a Part Time Security Officer for its team in Lakewood, New Jersey.

About the Role

This position supports safety and protection at retail and luxury residential sites in the surrounding area. The officer works a part‑time schedule, earning $17.50–$18.00 per hour, and plays a key role in maintaining a secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors.

What You'll Do

• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to deter unauthorized activity
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned properties and report observations
• Operate access control systems, verifying credentials and issuing visitor badges
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations
• Provide clear, professional communication with clients, law enforcement, and team members
• Complete accurate incident logs and shift reports
• Assist with crowd control during special events or peak periods as needed

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience as a security officer, guard, or in a related safety role
• Strong situational awareness and a visible, professional presence
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with access control equipment and basic alarm monitoring
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed post instructions
• Valid state security license or eligibility to obtain one
• Reliable transportation to various sites in Lakewood and nearby communities
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
