Alto Health Care Staffing is seeking a dedicated Long-Term Care Registered Nurse (LTC RN) to join a 13-week travel assignment in New Britain, Hartford County, Connecticut — an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive long-term care environment.
About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site travel nursing position with Alto Health Care Staffing, providing direct patient care within a long-term care facility in New Britain, CT. The assignment runs for 13 weeks on an evening shift schedule, offering consistent hours and a defined guaranteed time arrangement.
Assignment Details
- Shift: Evening shift, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (5×8-hour shifts per week)
- Guaranteed hours: 40 hours most weeks / 32 hours during on-call rotation weeks
- Assignment length: 13 weeks
- On-call requirement: One on-call weekend every four weeks (Friday 3:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM); the preceding week runs Monday–Thursday with a 32-hour guarantee
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to long-term care residents during evening hours
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Respond to patient needs and emergencies with clinical competence and compassion
- Fulfill scheduled on-call obligations as outlined in the assignment agreement
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Connecticut (or compact license eligibility)
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a related clinical setting preferred
- Ability to commit to the full 13-week travel assignment
- Flexibility to participate in the rotating on-call weekend schedule
