About the Role

This full-time Cath Lab Tech position in Charlottesville City places you at the center of interventional cardiac care. Working day shifts with 8-hour blocks across a 13-week contract beginning July 6, 2026, you will assist physicians and the clinical team during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the catheterization laboratory at Newcomb Hall.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the cath lab, equipment, and sterile field ahead of each cardiac catheterization procedure.
• Assist cardiologists and the care team throughout diagnostic and interventional cases.
• Operate and monitor imaging and hemodynamic equipment, ensuring readings are accurate and documented.
• Position and support patients while monitoring their condition before, during, and after procedures.
• Maintain strict infection-control, radiation-safety, and sterile-technique standards at all times.
• Keep accurate records and communicate clearly with the multidisciplinary cardiac team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a Cath Lab Tech in a clinical or hospital catheterization setting.
• Working knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures, imaging systems, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Current credentials and certifications appropriate to the role and applicable state requirements.
• Availability for an on-site, full-time day-shift schedule in Charlottesville City for the duration of the 13-week contract.
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to patient safety.
