Locum Physician (MD/DO) – Obstetrics and Gynecology

About the Role

This is a locum tenens position offering flexibility and autonomy within a respected specialty. You'll practice in established healthcare settings while CompHealth handles the administrative complexities—credentialing, licensure verification, malpractice insurance, travel arrangements, and housing accommodations—leaving you free to deliver outstanding clinical care.

What You'll Do

• Deliver comprehensive prenatal care, including routine and high-risk pregnancy management
• Manage labor and delivery, monitoring fetal health and conducting deliveries
• Provide postpartum care and newborn health assessments
• Perform gynecological examinations and diagnostic procedures
• Conduct patient consultations addressing reproductive health, family planning, and preventative care
• Collaborate with nursing, anesthesia, and physician colleagues to optimize outcomes
• Maintain thorough, compliant medical documentation
• Contribute to a positive clinical team environment

What We're Looking For

• MD or DO degree with active, unrestricted North Carolina medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Board certification or eligibility in obstetrics and gynecology
• Current DEA registration
• Strong clinical judgment and professional communication skills
• Professional standing with no adverse actions or disciplinary history
• Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered practice
