Local Contract Occupational Therapist - Acute Care at Stability Healthcare in Seward, Kenai Peninsula

The Opportunity

Stability Healthcare is seeking a local contract Occupational Therapist for an acute care position based in Seward, Alaska. This role offers a 13-week commitment with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, working standard 8-hour days.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine their occupational therapy needs and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient requirements.
• Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving functional abilities in daily living activities for patients with physical, mental, or developmental impairments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, social workers, and other therapists to ensure comprehensive care for the patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate progress updates to relevant team members.

What We're Looking For

• A licensed Occupational Therapist with a valid license in the state of Alaska.
• Experience working in an acute care setting is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
