Local CDL-A Truck Driver

Ryder is hiring full-time Local CDL-A Truck Drivers in Napoleon, Gallatin County. This is a home-daily driving position where you'll operate routes in your local area and return home at the end of each shift.

About the Role

We're looking for experienced commercial truck drivers with a valid Class A CDL to join our team. You'll operate modern trucks on local delivery and pickup routes, ensuring safe and efficient transport of freight throughout the region. As a local CDL-A driver for Ryder, you'll maintain flexible work hours while staying close to home—no long-haul layovers or extended time away from family.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate commercial vehicles on assigned local routes throughout Napoleon and surrounding areas
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
• Load, secure, and transport freight according to safety regulations and customer requirements
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation for each shift and delivery
• Meet delivery schedules and customer service expectations
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding routes and deliveries

What We're Looking For

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A CDL) with a clean driving record
• Minimum experience driving commercial trucks
• Ability to pass DOT medical examination and background screening
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to following regulations
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Willingness to perform physical tasks including loading and unloading
• Valid passport or REAL ID for employment verification

Compensation & Benefits

We offer competitive pay with multiple earning opportunities:

• Weekly pay of $1,385 based on $0.48 per mile at 2,500 miles per week
• Stop pay of $11.00 per stop (approximately 10 stops per week)
• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance available after 30 days
• 80 hours of paid time off in your first year (use it or receive pay in lieu)
• Company-provided uniforms
