About the Role

As a Local CDL-A Truck Driver with Ryder in Syracuse, Indiana, you'll operate a Class A commercial vehicle on a dedicated local route, returning home at the end of every shift. This full-time position pays $22.93 per hour, with drivers averaging $1,604 per week. New hires also receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus — $1,000 paid at 30 days and $1,000 paid at 90 days of employment.

What You'll Do

• Drive a Class A vehicle on assigned local routes throughout the Kosciusko County area, completing all deliveries safely and on schedule
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
• Properly secure and verify freight loads before departure and at each stop
• Maintain accurate electronic logging records (ELD) and all required documentation
• Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route status, delays, or vehicle issues
• Represent Ryder professionally at customer locations and uphold safe driving standards at all times

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
• Current DOT medical certification
• Clean driving record with a demonstrated commitment to road safety
• Ability to operate manual and/or automatic Class A equipment
• Reliability, punctuality, and strong attention to detail
• Prior local or regional CDL-A driving experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• $22.93/hour with average weekly earnings of $1,604
• $2,000 sign-on bonus paid in two installments (30 days and 90 days)
