As a Line Cook you will join a vibrant kitchen team that supports a unique dining and entertainment venue blending a 1920s‑style restaurant, bar, and classic movie theater. The role focuses on preparing high‑quality dishes that match the elevated American menu while keeping service swift and consistent.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to standardized recipes.
- Cook menu items to order, ensuring proper timing and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor cooking equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating inventory to minimize waste.
- Communicate effectively with expediters, servers, and fellow cooks during service.
- Support prep work for the next shift and help with closing duties as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working as a line cook or in a similar fast‑paced kitchen environment.
- Solid understanding of food safety practices and proper knife handling.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the venue.
- Compensation is set at $16.00 per hour for this full‑time position.
