Leading Hand

Glascott Landscape and Civil Pty is seeking a full-time Leading Hand to strengthen its team in Windang, Wollongong, Australia on the South Coast of NSW. This on-site role suits an experienced site supervisor ready to guide daily operations for landscape and civil works across the region.

Position Summary

As Leading Hand with Glascott Landscape and Civil Pty you will sit at the heart of active project delivery in Windang and surrounding Wollongong Area locations. You will take ownership of crew coordination, maintain high standards of workmanship, and keep programmes moving smoothly on commercial and infrastructure sites. The position is full-time and based entirely on site across the South Coast NSW footprint.

What You'll Do

• Direct and support the on-site crew so that daily tasks are completed safely, on time and to specification
• Translate work instructions into clear sequences of activities and allocate resources accordingly
• Monitor quality at every stage and correct variances before they escalate
• Uphold all workplace health and safety requirements and encourage a positive safety culture among team members
• Operate plant and tools as needed while mentoring less experienced workers
• Report progress, issues and material needs promptly to supervisors and management
• Coordinate deliveries, plant movements and subcontractor interfaces on each project

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Leading Hand or similar supervisory role within landscape or civil construction
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, communicate clearly and maintain productivity under pressure
• Solid practical knowledge of construction methods, plant operation and site logistics
• Current construction induction certification and readiness to work outdoors across the Wollongong Area
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and professional presentation on every job
• Motivation to contribute to a high-performing crew delivering large-scale projects
