Lead UX Researcher – Digital Pharmacy

New Era Technology is hiring a Lead UX Researcher – Digital Pharmacy to become the research backbone of a digital pharmacy platform built for a major pharmaceutical client. This full-time role is based across our hubs in Australia, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

About the Role

As Lead UX Researcher, you will embed directly inside the product development workflow, acting as a strategic research partner to product leadership. You'll define how user insight is captured, interpreted, and converted into meaningful product change—collaborating with internal teams and an established specialist research partner so the customer experience keeps improving. You will report to the Digital Practice Area Manager – Experience Design and work alongside client Product Leadership, UX/UI Designers, Engineering, and a third-party firm versed in healthcare and pharmaceutical studies.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and embed a continuous UX research and testing strategy across every stage of the digital pharmacy product lifecycle.
• Scope and prioritize studies across modalities—moderated and unmoderated usability testing, surveys, interviews, and contextual inquiry.
• Coordinate study design, participant recruitment, and field execution with a specialized external research vendor.
• Create low- and mid-fidelity unbranded prototypes to simulate experiences and validate features before release.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations and shepherd them through design and engineering.
• Stand up a measurement framework using leading indicators (task completion, usability scores) and lagging ones (satisfaction, adoption, support volume).
• Document insights in a shared, cross-functional repository and champion patient and customer needs in every decision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Design, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 7+ years in UX research within product or digital settings, including at least 2 years in a lead or senior individual contributor role.
• Command of qualitative and quantitative methods, with the judgment to match modality to question.
• Track record managing third-party research vendors, ideally in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.
• Skilled at prototyping for testing, defining CX/UX metrics, and influencing strategy through evidence.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project organization across concurrent workstreams.
