LEAD SALES ASSOCIATE – Part-Time– 21 and older only

Dollar General is hiring a Lead Sales Associate at our Richmond Square location in Richmond, Indiana (Wayne County). This is a full-time position open to candidates 21 and older. As a Lead Sales Associate, you'll be a cornerstone of our store team, driving sales, mentoring other team members, and ensuring customers find what they need every day.

As a Lead Sales Associate, you'll take on added responsibilities that combine floor sales expertise with team leadership. You'll report to the store manager and play a key role in keeping our Richmond Square location running smoothly while delivering the service our customers expect.

What You'll Do

• Assist customers with product selection, answer questions, and complete transactions at point of sale
• Monitor store floor, maintain product displays, and ensure merchandise is organized and stocked
• Lead by example and support other sales associates with on-the-floor guidance
• Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues as needed
• Help open or close the store, process cash, and complete end-of-shift procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting store environment
• Contribute to a team culture that reflects Dollar General's commitment to serving our community

What We're Looking For

• Minimum age: 21 years old
• Retail or customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift products
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Enthusiasm for helping customers and supporting teammates
• Basic math and cash handling skills
• Willingness to follow company policies and procedures
