Lead Public Safety Officer – Security

Prime Healthcare seeks an experienced Lead Public Safety Officer to direct security operations and oversee shift activities at our Olympia Fields, Illinois healthcare facility. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead a security team, manage electronic surveillance systems, and maintain a secure environment for patients, employees, and visitors.

About the Role

As Lead Public Safety Officer, you will manage daily security operations, supervise assigned team members, and coordinate the facility's response to safety challenges and emergencies. You'll ensure consistent enforcement of security policies across all shifts while maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct and compliance with healthcare facility regulations.

What You'll Do

• Oversee and coordinate shift operations, including scheduling and task assignment for security personnel
• Monitor electronic surveillance systems and conduct regular facility patrols and security rounds
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, coordinating with facility leadership and external responders as needed
• Enforce security policies and procedures uniformly across all staff and visitors
• Document security activities, incidents, and observations in compliance with facility protocols
• Train and mentor security team members on best practices and facility procedures
• Maintain equipment and systems in working order; report maintenance needs promptly
