As Lead, Chief Systems Engineer at L3Harris, you'll architect complex systems solutions, establish technical standards, and provide strategic direction for engineering teams. This senior technical leadership role combines hands-on systems expertise with responsibility for guiding the technical vision of major programs and initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Design and architect scalable systems solutions that meet business and technical requirements
• Lead systems engineering teams, providing mentorship and technical guidance to engineers at all levels
• Develop and enforce technical standards, best practices, and engineering methodologies across programs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including program management, hardware, software, and manufacturing to ensure integrated system success
• Conduct technical reviews and assessments of system designs, trade studies, and implementation approaches
• Drive continuous improvement in systems engineering processes, tools, and team capabilities
• Serve as technical authority and escalation point for complex engineering challenges
• Support proposal development and customer technical interactions on key programs

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of systems engineering or related technical leadership experience
• Demonstrated expertise in complex systems architecture and design
• Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams
• Strong understanding of systems integration, verification, and validation processes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Security clearance eligibility or existing clearance preferred
• Familiarity with aerospace, defense, or complex industrial systems environments
