The Opportunity

The Kidz Town Discovery Center Director is a pivotal role within the Children’s Museum. This full-time position offers leadership and administrative oversight of daily operations, ensuring the museum runs smoothly and achieves its mission to inspire young minds through interactive learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the museum's growth and development.
• Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including staff management, budgeting, and program coordination.
• Collaborate with the Board of Directors/Board of Trustees to align the museum’s goals with broader community needs.
• Educational programs and events that engage children and their families in hands-on learning experiences.

Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in education, child development, or a related field is required.
• At least three years of experience in a leadership role within an educational institution or museum setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with staff, volunteers, and the community.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and allocate resources efficiently.
• Passion for education and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for children.
