What This Role Involves
The Kaiwhakaako at Central Kids will lead with purpose and inspire a passionate team to make a real difference for tamariki and whānau. This role involves strategic planning, mentoring staff, and ensuring the best outcomes for all children in our care.
Core Duties
- Develop and implement an educational programme that aligns with the curriculum and values of Central Kids
- Mentor and support teachers to enhance their professional practice and ensure high-quality teaching
- Collaborate with whānau to foster a strong partnership in supporting tamariki's learning and well-being
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and standards
- Contribute to the strategic direction of Central Kids as part of the leadership team
What You Bring
- A proven track record in early childhood education or primary teaching
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team effectively
- Strong understanding of Māori values and pedagogy, including Te Whāriki and Te Reo Māori
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to continuous professional development
