Junior Software Engineer

• We’re looking for a passionate Junior Software Engineer for one of our independent game teams. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a team of experienced engineers to build and deliver large-scale features enjoyed by millions of players around the world. You’ll be supported by a dedicated mentor and become part of an experienced team that will help you grow from day one.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Work hands-on across all technical aspects of game development
• Write high quality/performance code, contributing to either the game client on mobile devices or our scalable cloud-based backend infrastructure
• Create new​ ​features​ for live games
• Solve tough multiplayer problems
• Create ​prototypes​ ​and​ ​proof-of-concept​ ​gameplay​
• Act as an Owner for parts of the game codebase
• Proactively identify production bottlenecks and help to formulate solutions
• Offer a fresh perspective and question why things are done a certain way

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:

• You will join a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Business Analysts, Artists, Game Designers, UX designers, Client and Backend Engineers, QA Engineers, and others. WE ARE A MATCH, IF YOU:

• Good understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, patterns, algorithms, and data structures
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; final years of studies or graduates
• Solid coding skills in any OOP language (Java, C#, etc.)
• Genuine passion for games and game making, not just software development
• Fast learner with natural curiosity (T-shaped mindset)
• Capacity to dream big and execute with pragmatism
• Ability to communicate well with both technical and non-technical peers
• Proficiency in English
• Team player
• A passion for gaming and technology

• Projects in Unity Engine
• Game-related extracurricular projects
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., GIT)
