What This Role Involves
This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems within a modern distribution center. The Maintenance Engineer reads and interprets electrical schematics and blueprints, services conveyors and packaging equipment, and ensures all work complies with applicable codes and safety guidelines.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, and motors
- Service and maintain conveyors and packaging equipment to ensure smooth operation
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints for installation and maintenance tasks
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes and safety guidelines
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in a clear and concise manner
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician or related field
- Familiarity with electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, and motors
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly
- Understanding of safety guidelines and regulations related to industrial maintenance
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, or working in confined spaces
