National University is seeking an Associate Director, Digital Experience to elevate how prospective students discover, evaluate, and engage with our digital products. This remote, full-time role in the USA sits within the UX team and shapes user-centered experiences across the enrollment journey.

About the Role

As Associate Director, Digital Experience, you will operate as a senior individual contributor reporting to the UX Director. Your focus is the prospective student journey across critical touchpoints—landing pages, application flows, and engagement tools such as chat and forms. You will turn behavioral insight into measurable improvement, partnering with Marketing, Enrollment, Product, and Data to keep core and emerging experiences insight-driven and continuously improving. The posted annual salary range is $78,496.00 – $105,974.00, with offers reflecting each candidate's qualifications and skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day optimization, QA, and A/B experimentation of core digital experiences, defining hypotheses, variations, and success criteria.
  • Map and refine end-to-end journeys across web, CRM, and enrollment touchpoints, removing friction and surfacing personalization opportunities tied to user intent and lifecycle stage.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to implement, measure, and validate experience improvements.
  • Define and track UX and product KPIs, build reporting and dashboards, and translate findings into prioritized actions.
  • Conduct biannual competitive and technology audits to guide both optimization and innovation.
  • Contribute to the innovation roadmap and support AI-driven, personalization-based pilots from design through measurement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years in digital experience, product strategy, personalization, or innovation, with proven success shaping user-facing products and full journeys.
  • Hands-on collaboration with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce, including segmentation, triggers, and lifecycle signals.
  • Fluency with GA4 and behavioral analytics, plus a strong grounding in human-centered design and journey mapping.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility (WCAG), responsive design, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Strong cross-functional influence across UX, Product, Enrollment, Marketing Automation, IT, and Data, with excellent written and verbal communication. Up to 10% travel.
