About the Role
As an HVAC Mechanic II, you'll be responsible for the installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems throughout our hospital. What You'll Do
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in heating and cooling systems
- Install, repair, and replace HVAC components and equipment
- Respond to service calls and emergency repairs to maintain facility operations
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage for compliance and record-keeping
- Work collaboratively with the facilities team to coordinate system upgrades and improvements
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations in all maintenance activities
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or mechanic, with demonstrated competency in Level II systems
- Valid EPA certification and other relevant HVAC credentials
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a healthcare environment
- Reliable transportation and willingness to respond to emergency service needs
