Mid South Transport, Inc is hiring a full-time Home Weekends CDL-A Truck Driver based out of Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia — an OTR opportunity built for experienced drivers who refuse to choose between strong earnings and time at home.
About the Role
This is an over-the-road position with a schedule structured to get you back home every weekend, consistently. Drivers earn a weekly average of $1,350–$1,600, operate assigned 2022–2025 Freightliner Cascadias, and haul 100% no-touch freight — so you're behind the wheel, not loading docks.
What You'll Do
- Operate a Class A tractor-trailer on OTR routes, returning home each weekend
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections on your assigned Cascadia
- Maintain accurate electronic logs in full compliance with FMCSA hours-of-service regulations
- Transport no-touch freight with care and on-time precision
- Communicate proactively with dispatch through the company's open-door support structure
- Uphold all DOT safety standards and company policies while representing Mid South Transport professionally on the road
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Demonstrated OTR driving experience
- Current DOT medical certificate
- Clean motor vehicle record with a strong safety history
- Ability to manage time independently across multi-day routes
- Reliable, professional, and committed to consistent home-weekend schedules
