About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Aide Caregiver Respite Care in Monterey Park 91755 for Tuesdays and Thursdays. This role involves providing companionship, safety/supervision, light cooking, meal prepping assistance, personal hygiene support, and help with activities of daily living to a six-year-old male client.

What You'll Do

• Provide companionship and engage in age-appropriate activities to ensure the client's social and emotional well-being
• Ensure the safety and supervision of the client, particularly during meal times and other daily activities
• Prepare simple meals and snacks as needed under the client’s dietary preferences and restrictions
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Support the client in performing activities of daily living including feeding, toileting, and transferring if necessary
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for the client to live in

Qualifications

• A compassionate and patient personality with a proactive attitude
• The ability to take initiative and complete tasks without constant supervision
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic cooking skills for preparing simple meals and snacks
• Ability to lift and assist the client as needed (light lifting)
• A valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle is preferred but not required
• Prior experience in home care or similar roles is beneficial but not mandatory
