The Hertz Corporation is hiring a Head of Department Manager for Maintenance, Logistics & Operations at our Lansing location. This full-time leadership role oversees critical fleet maintenance, logistics coordination, and operational excellence for our growing vehicle rental business.

About the Role

As Head of Department Manager for Maintenance, Logistics & Operations, you'll lead the teams and processes that keep our fleet moving. This position sits at the intersection of fleet management, supply chain coordination, and daily operations—requiring strategic thinking and hands-on accountability. You'll partner with internal departments and external vendors to optimize how we maintain, transport, and deliver vehicles to our customers.

What You'll Do

• Direct maintenance operations to maximize fleet availability, reliability, and safety
• Oversee logistics and distribution workflows across the region
• Manage budgets, staffing, and resource allocation for your department
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement operational improvements
• Establish performance metrics and ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards
• Coordinate with external service partners and suppliers to support fleet upkeep
• Lead your team to meet service level agreements and customer commitments

• Proven leadership experience in fleet maintenance, logistics, or operations management
• Strong organizational and project management skills
