Group Leader (Elementary School)

Children's Aid is seeking a Group Leader for Elementary School to lead engaging afterschool and summer programs in Morningside, Manhattan. In this full-time position earning $17.00–$25.00 per hour, you'll guide elementary-age participants through a carefully structured day of learning, recreation, and social growth while working alongside our Activity and Content Specialists.

About the Role

As Group Leader, you'll manage the day-to-day supervision and direction of student groups, creating a welcoming environment where children thrive both academically and socially. Working under the direction of experienced program specialists, you'll facilitate activities that build confidence, strengthen peer connections, and support learning goals.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily group activities and ensure adherence to program schedules and safety protocols
• Lead academic enrichment sessions designed to reinforce school-day learning
• Facilitate recreational and social-emotional activities that promote teamwork and personal development
• Collaborate with Activity and Content Specialists to execute program objectives
• Monitor participant behavior and engagement, addressing needs proactively
• Maintain a positive, inclusive atmosphere where all children feel valued and secure
