About the Role
As a Senior Sales Associate at our La Puente location, you'll take ownership of sales targets and play a key role in delivering Music & Arts' reputation for expertise and service. Working full-time, you'll balance floor sales, customer engagement, and business development—with particular focus on growing our lesson program partnerships with local schools and music educators.
What You'll Do
- Exceed personal sales goals while supporting overall store sales and profitability targets
- Actively promote and enroll students in Music & Arts lesson programs to educators and parents
- Build relationships with local teachers and school music directors to establish the store as a trusted community resource
- Deliver exceptional customer service across all customer interactions and music-related inquiries
- Assist customers in selecting instruments and gear matched to their skill level and needs
- Guide product demonstrations and provide knowledgeable recommendations
- Support inventory management and store operations as a senior-level team member
- Mentor newer sales associates and model our customer-first sales approach
What We're Looking For
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in retail
- Strong interpersonal skills and genuine enthusiasm for music and music education
- Ability to engage educators and build long-term business relationships
- Excellent product knowledge or willingness to develop it quickly
- Customer service experience with the ability to handle diverse customer needs
- Leadership qualities and comfort mentoring team members
- Full-time availability and flexibility as needed for retail operations
