What This Role Involves

The Forensic Caseworker role within the Biological Sciences Group (BSG) Case Reporting Unit 1 involves analyzing and reporting on results from biological examinations of crime exhibits. You will be responsible for attending crime scenes, conducting detailed forensic investigations, and ensuring all findings are accurately documented.

What You'll Do

• Analyze and report on the results obtained from the biological examination of crime exhibits
• Attend and process crime scenes to collect and preserve evidence
• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing forensic findings for use in legal proceedings
• Collaborate with other forensic teams to ensure a coordinated approach to investigations
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all casework activities

What We're Looking For

• Forensic Officer Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated ability in biological sciences, forensic analysis, and crime scene investigation
• Strong analytical skills with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Possession of relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in forensic science or related field
