About the Role

As a Footwear Designer based in Beaverton, OR, you will join a dynamic product team to bring innovative performance-driven footwear concepts to life. This position covers a fixed engagement of roughly 18 weeks (about four months) and exists to support an existing team member during parental leave. It is an excellent fit for a designer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is ready to make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Create original footwear concepts and design directions focused on athletic performance.
• Translate ideas into detailed sketches, technical drawings, and production-ready specifications.
• Partner with development, engineering, and merchandising teams to refine fit, function, and aesthetics.
• Iterate on prototypes and incorporate feedback throughout the design and review cycle.
• Ensure designs align with brand standards, materials guidelines, and performance objectives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in footwear design, with a specialty in performance or athletic product.
• A portfolio showcasing concept development, technical execution, and finished footwear projects.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design tools and the ability to produce clear technical documentation.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working across cross-functional teams.
