Role Overview

You'll work as a Fitness Coach within our facilities-based team, delivering expert guidance, personalised coaching, and motivational support to clients across all fitness levels. Your role combines one-to-one coaching with group sessions, member inductions, and programme design — all whilst contributing to a positive, member-focused environment that drives engagement and loyalty.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct personalised coaching sessions, fitness assessments, and bespoke programme design for individual clients
  • Lead group fitness classes and induction sessions for new members
  • Provide expert guidance on exercise technique, progression, and injury prevention
  • Offer nutritional and lifestyle advice as part of holistic member support
  • Build strong client relationships to maximise engagement, retention, and member satisfaction
  • Maintain equipment safety standards and promote facility upkeep
  • Support retail and facility operations, including promoting memberships and ancillary services
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional customer experience and meet team targets

Requirements

  • Recognised fitness qualification such as Level 2 Gym Instruction, Level 3 Personal Training, or equivalent certification
  • Proven experience delivering fitness coaching or personal training to diverse client groups
  • Solid understanding of exercise physiology, programme design, and safe movement patterns
  • Strong interpersonal skills with genuine passion for motivating and supporting clients
  • Flexibility to work across opening hours, including evenings and weekends as required
  • First Aid at Work certification, or commitment to obtaining it
  • Customer-focused approach and commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment
