About the Role

As a Fire Alarm Systems Mechanic, you'll own the complete technical lifecycle of fire alarm system support—from new installations through ongoing maintenance and emergency repairs. Your work ensures that detection, notification, and control systems operate reliably in compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and manufacturer specifications. This is hands-on technical work with direct impact on occupant safety.

What You'll Do

• Install fire alarm systems including detection sensors, pull stations, audible and visual notification devices, and control panels
• Perform scheduled maintenance and system inspections to verify integrity and code compliance
• Troubleshoot system malfunctions and execute repairs following technical documentation and regulatory requirements
• Test detection circuits, notification devices, and integrated system functionality to ensure proper operation
• Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation
• Respond to service calls and emergency system issues
• Coordinate with fire marshals, building operators, and clients to achieve and maintain compliance

What We're Looking For

• Current Security Clearance or ability to obtain one
• Fire alarm system certification or equivalent technical experience
• Working knowledge of NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm Code) and state/local fire codes
• Ability to read technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer documentation
• Hands-on proficiency with testing equipment and diagnostic tools
• Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Professional communication and customer interaction abilities
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
