Samsara is hiring a remote Mid-Market Sales Manager, DACH to lead a high-performing sales team across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. If you thrive on developing talent and building disciplined pipeline in one of Europe's most dynamic IoT markets, this role is built for you.
About the Role
As Mid-Market Sales Manager for the DACH region, you will take ownership of an established team of Account Executives who sell Samsara's Connected Operations platform to the businesses that power physical industries — transport, logistics, field services, construction, and manufacturing. This opening exists because the previous leader was promoted internally to director level, reflecting the growth opportunities available here. Your mission is to elevate a strong team into a consistently outstanding one by instilling structured outbound practices and tailored, individual coaching. The position is remote-first and based in Germany, and native German fluency is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the performance and growth of Mid-Market Account Executives across DACH, holding the team to pipeline goals, activity benchmarks, and forecast accuracy through weekly operating rhythms.
- Coach each representative individually, meeting them where they are — from territory planning and discovery through closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
- Build a reliable outbound pipeline engine, set rep-level generation targets, run weekly pipe reviews, and address coverage gaps early.
- Step into key deals as both coach and closer, stress-testing qualification and advancing opportunities through critical stages.
- Collaborate with your Director, Sales Engineering, ADR leadership, and Marketing on territory strategy and execution.
- Source, hire, and onboard exceptional talent that raises the team's standard over time.
- Support the scaling of Samsara's Mainland Europe business and embed Samsara's cultural principles while leading an inclusive, engaged team.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years as a frontline sales manager in B2B technology or SaaS, leading five or more Account Executives in a direct, outbound-led motion.
- A minimum of 5 years as a quota-carrying individual contributor in outbound sales before moving into leadership.
- Strong deal qualification skills, coaching reps through complex cycles using MEDDPICC or an equivalent framework.
- Proven ability to manage performance proactively, including structured coaching plans and difficult conversations.
- Based in Germany and able to travel across DACH for in-person meetings.
- Ideally, a coaching-first style, familiarity with physical operations industries, and experience building outbound pipeline without inbound volume or established brand recognition.
