Field Relief Manager

U-Haul is hiring a Field Relief Manager to serve at our Manchester, Hillsborough County location in New Hampshire. This is a full-time position offering meaningful variety and the opportunity to lead teams across multiple facilities in your area.

Role Overview

As a Field Relief Manager with U-Haul, you'll be the backup leader our facilities depend on. You'll step in to oversee operations at various U-Haul rental centers throughout your region whenever General Managers are away, ensuring every location maintains the high service standards our customers expect. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on change, enjoys managing people across different environments, and delivers results under varied circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Assume management duties at multiple U-Haul facilities as coverage is needed for vacation, training, or operational requirements
• Lead and motivate branch teams to maintain exceptional customer service
• Oversee daily operations including equipment rental, customer transactions, and facility maintenance
• Uphold operational standards and company procedures across assigned locations
• Resolve customer concerns and issues with professionalism and urgency
• Manage staff scheduling and performance during coverage assignments
• Monitor facility performance and identify operational improvements

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success managing teams in dynamic, customer-focused environments
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities
• Proven capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt quickly to change
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer experiences
• Ability to learn new systems and processes rapidly
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license required
• Flexibility to travel between U-Haul locations as assigned
