Role Overview

NORC at the University of Chicago is seeking Field Data Collectors (Field Interviewers) to support research and data collection. As a Field Data Collector, you will be responsible for conducting in-person interviews with respondents in their homes. The data collected by you will contribute to studies on critical issues such as healthcare access and affordability, the role of higher education in the workforce, and other important topics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home interviews with participants to gather detailed information for research purposes.
• Ensure data accuracy and completeness during each interview session.
• Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines when handling participant information.
• Travel to various locations within the designated area to conduct interviews as required by the project.

Who We're Looking For

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; some college coursework may be preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with participants.
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in data collection, social sciences, or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
