What This Role Involves

The role of a Farm Manager at our farm in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, involves overseeing day-to-day operations with a focus on mechanical maintenance and team leadership. The successful candidate will ensure that all equipment and systems run efficiently and safely while managing the citrus production and livestock.

Core Duties

• Oversee daily farm operations including mechanical maintenance, irrigation systems, and pest control.
• Lead and manage a team of farm workers to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
• Ensure the farm's citrus production is managed effectively, maintaining high standards of quality and yield.
• Maintain livestock in a healthy condition, ensuring proper feeding and care practices.
• Live on-site to be readily available for all operational needs and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Agricultural Diploma or Degree is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Significant experience in citrus production, particularly in South Africa, is required.
• Experience with livestock management and care practices is essential.
• Strong mechanical skills to maintain farm equipment are necessary.

Working at Farm

The role requires a hands-on approach, physical capability, and the ability to lead a team effectively. The successful candidate must be willing to live on-site in order to provide immediate support for all operational needs. This is a full-time position with no remote work options available.
