Senior Family Solicitor

Hunter Savage is recruiting a Senior Family Solicitor in County Antrim, Northern Ireland on a full-time basis. You will head the family-law offering at an established Belfast firm and steer its expansion while managing sophisticated client work across the region.

What This Role Involves

As Senior Family Solicitor with Hunter Savage you will sit at the centre of a developing practice group that serves people and families throughout County Antrim and Greater Belfast. The post combines strategic leadership of the department with hands-on conduct of sophisticated files. Expect to set team priorities, uphold high professional standards, build referral pathways, and guide matters from first instruction through negotiated or contested resolution, all while reinforcing the firm’s reputation for considered, results-focused advice on family issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the family-law department, allocating work and monitoring service quality
• Run a full caseload of matrimonial and wider family instructions that include high-value and multi-issue disputes
• Advise on divorce and civil-partnership dissolution, financial provision, property and pension division, and child arrangements
• Conduct negotiations, mediation and representation in forums across Northern Ireland
• Supervise and develop junior solicitors and support staff within the team
• Cultivate lasting relationships with clients, counsel and external referrers

Who We're Looking For

• Qualified solicitor holding a current practising certificate and at least five years’ post-qualification experience
• Demonstrable background conducting high-value or complex family-law cases
• Leadership aptitude suited to heading a busy departmental caseload
• First-class drafting, advocacy and client-care skills
• Sound knowledge of Northern Ireland family legislation and court practice
• Capacity to work autonomously yet collaboratively within a professional team
