Position Summary

The main function of the Counselor-in-Training is to assist the Camp Director, Camp Leadership, and other counselors with various summer camp duties during the summer season. This role is volunteer-based and unpaid; however, CITs earn Service Hours that can be applied towards required service hours for school, church, Scouts, clubs, or organizations.

What You'll Do

• Assist in planning and implementing camp activities
• Support counselors in managing campers' needs and behaviors
• Help with setup and breakdown of camp facilities
• Participate in team-building exercises and leadership development programs
• Earn Service Hours that may be applied to various service requirements

Qualifications

• Age 14 or older
• Affinity for children and a passion for outdoor activities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Demonstrated leadership potential or experience
• Physical fitness to participate in camp activities
