Latitude is recruiting a full-time Electrical Estimator for our Havre De Grace, Harford County location. You'll create detailed cost estimates and drive the competitive bidding process for residential and commercial electrical construction projects.
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced electrical estimator to prepare accurate bids and support our construction operations. In this position, you'll analyze project requirements, calculate costs, and help our team win work through detailed, competitive proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates from blueprints, specifications, and project scope
- Perform material takeoffs and calculate labor hours for residential and commercial work
- Review architectural and engineering plans for project completeness and accuracy
- Develop competitive bid proposals and cost summaries for client delivery
- Research vendor pricing and source materials quotes from suppliers
- Coordinate with project managers and sales teams to refine estimate strategy
- Maintain organized project files and estimating documentation
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of electrical estimating experience on residential and commercial projects
- Proficiency reading electrical blueprints and construction documentation
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods
- Competency with estimating software platforms and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong mathematical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Effective communication and collaboration across teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
